Stargate Atlantis

Stargate Atlantis follows the present-day adventures of Lt. Colonel John Sheppard and his military team from Earth that, along with two dozen other teams, explore distant planets in the Pegasus Galaxy. They use an alien device known as a Stargate that was built millions of years ago by an advanced race of humans known as the Ancients. The expedition is based in the Lost City of Atlantis on the planet "Lantea". The city was built millions of years ago by the Ancients. Five to ten million years ago, due to a plague in the Milky Way Galaxy, they were forced to flee to the Pegasus Galaxy, and there they seeded life on hundreds of worlds as they had done to Earth in the Milky Way. After encountering a powerful enemy known as the Wraith and going to war with them for one hundred years, the Ancients ultimately lost and were forced to submerge their city beneath Lantea's ocean, which, in the Stargate universe, is the source of the Greek myth of the Lost City of Atlantis.
Stargate: Atlantis episodes feature a self-contained story that also contributes to the larger storyline of the war against the Wraith and the Atlantis residents' search for the means to destroy their enemy. Each season has also featured a two-part episode, and a few episodes that, while not technically two-parters, feature direct continuity with the story of the previous episode (for example, season 3 "Progeny" and "The Real World"). Each episode begins with a cold open, sometimes preceded by a recap of events relevant to the upcoming narrative. The opening credits feature an original theme by Joel Goldsmith. Though they were drastically cut at the start of season 2, the full credits were recovered after the mid-season two-parter. They were again cut short in the 5th season.

Nunca fui grande fã do SG-1. Vi algumas temporadas mas eventualmente cansava-me.

No entanto, por curiosidade, quando começou a dar na FOX comecei a ver o Stargate Atlantis e tenho a dizer que estou absolutamente grudado (apesar de alguns episódios meio descontextualizados lá pelo meio). Acabou a 1ª série e mal podia esperar pela segunda. E agora levo uma injecção diária uma vez que após terem recomeçado é um episódio por dia, actualmente no 2º da 4ª temporada.

ainda só vou na 3ª^, mas como fiel seguidor de Sg-1 que era, foi um pouco estranho começar a ver Atlantis, mas depois do impacto inicial tambem fiquei viciado por esta.. não é tão boa como SG-1 nem os personagens são tão bons, mas mesmo assim tem bons vilões, boas histórias, tem o Mckay que é um personagem

Sim o McKay é o máximo... A Weir e a Teyla é que são um pouco sem sal, mas as personagens masculinas mais relevantes são o máximo (McKay, Sheppard, Ronon, Carson).

A atlantis nunca vi, mas dei a volta ao "SG-1"(filmes incluidos) e a série é um espanto. Só não é a melhor série sci-fi de sempre por causa dos ficheiros secretos(babylon 5 também deixou a marca). A atlantis, meh...talvez um dia.

Já vi tanto uma (SG-1) como a outra (SG-Atlantis) e aguardo impacientemente o Stargate Universe

Se achas que o SG-1 é seca, é porque nunca viste tudo desde o principio ao fim..Ver o SG-Atlantis sem ter visto o SG-1, fica um bocado fora do contexto.

Eu nunca disse que SG-1 era uma seca. Eu vi ainda umas temporadas seguidas, na SIC Radical se bem me recordo, e gostava muito daquilo. Nunca fiquei grudado mas gostava (acho que o grudado advém de ser um episódio diário, assim tipo ver o 24 em 2 ou 3 dias como gosto de fazer). Só que eventualmente começou a parecer-me sempre mais do mesmo...

O Stargate Atlantis até agora ainda não me chateou. Embora as mudanças que houveram no final da 3ª temporada início da 4ª me deixem um pouco de pé atrás mas logo se verá... E nunca me senti fora do contexto. But again, não era completamente alheio ao unvierso Stargate.
