Acabei de terminar o Prince of Persia, após 22h30 de jogo ( not that bad, is it?).

As sequências finais são fantásticas e compensaram bem o esforço inicial, quando tudo parecia tão repetitivo. Ainda ficaram cento e tal light seeds por apanhar para completar as 1000, mas não sei se vou ter paciência para o fazer agora. Uncharted espera-me, bem como o Lost e Battlestar Galactica que acabam de recomeçar .

Haz kirai, o espectacular comediante e presidente da Sony Computer Entertainment concedeu uma entrevista historica, repleta de mais lenha para a fogueira da PS3.
Verdadeiro ouro para as guerrinhas de consolas, coisas como dizer que a dificuldade de programar a PS3 foi algo propositado...
Inacreditavel como gente desta pode estar a chefiar....

Sony Computer Entertainment boss Kaz Hirai has dismissed Microsoft and Nintendo as competitors because he sees PlayStation as the "official" industry leader.

"This is not meant in terms of numbers, or who's got the biggest install base, or who's selling most in any particular week or month, but I'd like to think that we continue official leadership in this industry," Hirai told Official PlayStation Magazine.

"It's difficult to talk about Nintendo, because we don't look at their console as being a competitor. They're a different world, and we operate in our world - that's the kind of way I look at things.

"And with the Xbox - again, I can't come up with one word to fit. You need a word that describes something that lacks longevity," he added with a laugh.

Brandishing Sony's commitment to The Ten Year Plan, Hirai said he wants customers to feel confident their PlayStation console will not "fall by the wayside in five years" - a milestone Microsoft has yet to overcome, he pointed out.

"And," offered Hirai, "unless things go really bad, there's no way that at the end of a life cycle our competition is going have a higher install base."

Hirai also addressed the complex architecture of the PS3, which developers have openly struggled to get to grips with.

"We don't provide the 'easy to program for' console that [developers] want, because 'easy to program for' means that anybody will be able to take advantage of pretty much what the hardware can do, so then the question is what do you do for the rest of the nine-and-a-half years?" explained Hirai.

He picked God of War to show gameplay changing during long life of the PS2, and said that sort of learning curve will be the same with PS3.

"So it's a kind of - I wouldn't say a double-edged sword - but it's hard to program for, and a lot of people see the negatives of it, but if you flip that around, it means the hardware has a lot more to offer," he said.

Wrapping things up, Hirai said the PlayStation 3 "won't radically change" over the next few years in the same way the New Xbox Experience revamped the competition.

He hopes PlayStation Home will help there, by growing to a point where one type of consumer buys the PS3 solely for the virtual world, before discovering that there are are some games on the games console.

"We want to expand the demographics from just a videogaming audience to something that's a little bit more massive," Hirai concluded.

Paupau, heheeh, grande momento. Mas mais tarde caíste, foi?

Ufa, Oblivion, esse grande monstro de jogo... Vou mais ou menos a meio da Main Quest e esta noite atingi a 100ª hora.
Já completei a questline da Fighters Guild, agora estou a trabalhar na Mages Guild e na Main Quest. Pelo meio vou fazendo umas das outras quests. Continuo completamente espantado com o mundo deste jogo. As paisagens são lindas (quase que dá para cheirar a erva e as árvores e a água) e há tanta tanta informação que é completamente "overwhelming".

Imagino que o mundo de Fallout 3 seja equivalente e só me admiro é como é que há gente que acaba estes jogos tão depressa. Só devem ver uma fracção insignificante do que há para ver!

Uma verdaeira pérola. Parece que então a Sony concorre contra ela própria...Já desde há muito tempo e como o iPod o prova a Sony tem imensas dificuldades em compreender o mundo em que vivemos.

Realmente essa entrevista é um manancial de estupidez, e este Haz kirai vai pelo mesmo caminho do seu antecessor, "crazy" Ken Kutaragi.

A minha parte preferida é aquela em que ele diz que a Sony não dá aos programadores uma consola fácil de programar, não senhor!
Porque assim, "qualquer um poderia tirar de imediato partido das potencialidades do hardware"...

É este tipo de postura arrogante que tem afastado a Sony da realidade que lhe deu tanta fortuna.
A companhia prepara-se para apresentar os primeiros prejuízos em 14 anos, e a PS3 vai estar na linha de fogo dos accionistas.
Só espero que não se lembrem de descontinuar a consola, ainda queria jogar o próximo da Team Ico....

E pronto, comprei uma Xbox360. Ainda não chegou, calma. Mas a partir da próxima semana, têm mais um para a lista dos maluquinhos da box da Microsoft.
Irei com certeza adquirir um LiveGold de 12 meses, isto é quase certo.

Embora não seja um heavy gamer como muitos de vós e ainda não tenha adquirido o Gears of War 2 (já tenho experiência do 1º, mas no PC), optei primeiro por adquirir uns jogos mais baratos e com parco envolvimento social online, GTA4, Far Cry 2 e Soul Caliber 4 (já não jogo um jogo do tipo desde o Tekken 3 e andava com muita falta do tipo).

E tendo em conta que ainda estou envolvidissimo no Fallout 3 e brevemente vou ter mais o GTA4 para me tirar horas de vida, só lá para Março ou Abril é que deverei comprar algo como um Gears of War 2 ou um Halo 3.
