Adaptação para filme da série animada criada por Peter Chung (Animatrix, Dark Fury). Este filme conta com Chalize Theron no papel principal e é realizado por Karyn Kusama (Girl Fight).

Aqui fica a sinopse:

Set 400 years in the future, when disease has wiped out the majority of the earth's population except for one walled, protected city- state, Bregna, ruled by a congress of scientists. Aeon Flux is the top operative in the underground "Monican" rebellion, led by the Handler, played by Frances McDormand. When Aeon is sent on a mission to kill the government's leader (Marton Csokas), she uncovers a world of secrets, which makes her question everything she thought she knew.

Curioso o que se passou com GirlFight. Várias vezes anunciada, a sua estreia foi sempre adiada. Acabou por não estrear no grande ecrã, e nem sequer chegou ao mercado de aluguer/venda directa. Salvo erro acho que nunca passou na televisão.
É pena, foi um dos filmes independentes, que no seu ano (2000) recebeu mais elogios. E todos os anos existe pelo menos duas ou três dezenas de “Girlfight’s” que estreiam em grande parte dos países europeus, mas que nunca chegam a Portugal.

Quanto a Aeon Flux, estou com um bom pressentimento.

Paramount Pictures has updated the official website for Charlize Theron sci-fi actioner Aeon Flux, set to hit theaters later this year. At the site, you can get a first peek at the upcoming comic book adaptation from Dark Horse Comics, a new video clip (shown after you click on 'Gallery') featuring Theron and Sophie Okonedo (who plays Sithandra) and a photo gallery with 33 images from the anticipated film.

Não sei porquê, mas estou com um bom pressentimento em relação a este filme.

Acabei de ver o trailer e confesso que tenho alguma expectativa em relação ao filme. Gosto dos trabalhos da Cherlize e aqui ela está a fazer algo completamente diferente do que fez até hoje.
