O que andam a jogar - 2009

Dia 19 de Junho sai o ARMA II para PC. Para os adeptos de milsims, tactical FPS, de open environment, este jogo é um must.
Apesar dos bugs, já habituais neste franchising, o jogo está um prodígio em termos de ambiência. Tive acesso à versão alemã e de facto ultrapassou as minhas expectativas em face do que tinha acontecido com a anterior versão. Os bugs estão lá; o jogo/simulador ainda requer muita afinação em termos de AI's e de motor. O jogo só saiu há um semana na Alemanha e já tem um patch. Mas com ajuda da fortíssima comunidade que rodeia o jogo e os próprios devs tudo se resolve ao fim de algum tempo.

Preciso de ajuda para ligar a minha Xbox 360 a um monitor Dell. Não consigo que o monitor reconheça a imagem, ligo um cabo HDMI - DVI e dá-me sempre uma mensagem de erro:

optimus resolution 1280x1024 60Hz

À partida é um problema de resolução da consola que dá para mudar nos settings (se os conseguisses ver )

Não consegui imagem no monitor e para aumentar a desgraça a consola tem as 3 luzes a piscar.

Significa que teu o berro, não é? O que faço agora?

Eu experimentava de novo ligá-la com o cabo normal RCA, a uma televisão normal. Depois via se estava tudo bem.

Essas luzes assim de ideia também podem indicar um erro de video. (São as 3 luzes vermelhas?, a tua consola é antiga? )

Já experimentei, usando a tv velha e um cabo scart e nada. 3 luzes vermelhas a piscar sendo que a única que não pisca é a 1º quadrante. A minha consola já tem ficha HDMI mas não é das mais modernas.

The specific type of hardware failure can be determined by a "hidden" error code

* Turn the xbox 360 on, and wait till the 3 red lights are flashing.
* Press and hold the sync up button (the small white one), while holding that button press the eject button.
* The LEDs will now blink the first number in the code (as described below).
* Release the eject button and press it again.
* The LEDs will now blink the second number of the code.
* Release the eject button and press it again.
* The LEDs will now blink the third number of the code.
* Release the eject button and press it again.
* The LEDs will now blink the forth number of the code.
* Release the eject button and press it again.
* The LEDs will go back to the 3 red flashing lights.

You should be able to determine the difference between the 3 flashing lights and the error code lights by the rate in which they flash.

Here is how you interpret the LEDs to get the code number:

* All four lights flashing - 0
* One light flashing - 1
* Two Lights flashing - 2
* Three lights flashing - 3

0003 Power problem could be the PSU could be the GPU/CPU, somehow the console isn't getting clean power from the power supply.
0010 over heating
0011 over heating - If you are receiving this error after disassembling your console make sure to all 8 of the heatsync screws are tightened securely to the board/heatsink holes.
0012 over heating
0013 over heating
0020 (Not yet known, possibly overheating)
0021 DVD Drive Time out - Can be caused by problems with a firmware flash. This is also speculated to sometime be caused by a problem with the southbridge chipset on the motherboard.
0022 GPU Error / GPU Overheating

* though it's most likely GPU related literally means the console does not know what is wrong. possibly a short or cold solder joint somewhere. So far there is 1 major theory for what causes most of these errors is that the Ram, CPU, or GPU are not soldered properly to the mother board due either to poor manufacturing or excessive heat up and cool down cycles that stress, weaken and eventually break the soldered connection.
There are two theories to fixing this one deals with the "X" clamps that hold down the chips. The other involves re-Heating the chips. DO NOT attempt either of these if your console is still under warranty. If your console is still under warranty return it to the store where it was purchased or call MS to have it replaced. I have also heard of limited success by simply switching the AV cable from "HDTV" mode to "TV" mode.

Já experimentaste ligar a consola sem os cabos de vídeo, sem disco, nada mesmo? Depois voltas a ligar tudo, dessa maneira a consola fará reset ás configurações de vídeo e qualquer mau contacto será reposto.

Ontem fui a casa do meu irmão e liguei-a ao LCD dele e funcionou sem problemas mas depois voltaram a aparecer as luzes vermelhas a piscar e nunca mais saiu disso. Vou ter de a mandar para a Microsoft, sabem o que se faz ou alguma página com informação?

Olha, obrigado, já encomendei também! Estava à espera de um bom negócio para o RE5 e aqui está ele. Espero que a loja seja competente, tive que me registar de propósito para isto.

Muitos de vós já devem ter reparado que infelizmente deixei de jogar tanto como jogava. Estava desempregado (vantagem: podia jogar o que quisesse; desvantagem: estava desempregado ) e como agora já não estou, já não tenho quase tempo nenhum (acabaram-se as noites de Gears 2 com o Rui ). As poucas horas que tenho vou distribuindo entre continuar a ver os X-Files (que estou a rever do início ao fim desde Fevereiro), andar pela net e de vez em quando lá pegar no GTA 4, que é o jogo que estou correntemente a jogar.
Ainda tenho o Assassin's Creed na prateleira para jogar quando acabar o GTA4 e agora o RE5 já vem a caminho.
