não sei porquê tanto alarido a volta deste filme, gostei do que vi mas longe de o achar um bom filme.

o que não gostei:
o ataque forçado ao cameramen, a rapariga com a trave espetada ja corria passado algum tempo, o monstro desenhado ás três pancadas, entre outros "erros" que já não me lembro...

o que gostei:
metodo inovador e decontraido de filmagem e o conceito em si.

mas cá espero pela sequela.

Estava com uma duvida, não tinha percebido muito bem o final trágico da Marlena, mas parece que será mais ou menos isto, não andando longe da ideia com que tinha ficado:

What happens to Marlena, the girl who gets bitten?

Marlena, the girl who gets bitten, starts to bleed from her eyes and ears; then the military takes her behind a curtain. Watch closely and you'll see her stomach expand and burst. (This event is foreshadowed when a dead soldier, whose chest and stomach had burst open, is wheeled in a stretcher past the camera.) This event could have been even more foreshadowed possibly earlier in the film, as when the monster first attacks and the characters descend into the streets and begin to leave Manhattan they pass by several ambulances. In one of the ambulances you hear a woman scream followed by some unusual noises, her scream is loud and piercing just as Marlena's was before Marlena died.

Why this happens is unclear. Maybe the small monsters reproduce by biting their prey and impregnating them (somewhat like the Alien movies). Maybe something in the monster's saliva causes the body to create an excess of fluid or gas. Whatever caused it, Marlena suffers horribly and dies.

It seems unlikely that small creatures come out of her. If there was that risk the medical team would have been wearing something offering protection against them, not just their level A suits. There also would probably have been aggressive action taken to either contain the creatures or to kill them as they emerge from her body. We don't see any of that take place. She is simply removed from the view of her friends and perishes.
