Este fds passei na InFidelidades para confirmar e trazer uns preços e trouxe tb um MJ Acoustics Reference 100 para experimentar cortesia da simpatia da casa...

Ficava bem lá em casa o bixu, em carvalho e tudo como queria as colunas...

A minha namorada chegou tarde e nem dava por ele, gostou...

Bem, vai de instalar o bixu em Hi-Level e passado uma 1 hora estava afinado... Xover a 60~65Hz, só notava a falta quando desligava e o remate certo estava lá.
Muito bom, mesmo que a minha fonte actual e mesmo o amp foram feitos para ter um boa gama média com monitoras compactas e não para aquilo.

Apenas uma questão: com 0º de ajuste de fase haviam algumas ressonâncias, a 180º não gostei, a 90º pareceu-me mais rápido e seco mesmo se tivesse ganho excessivo e a leitura do manual diz que 90º é o desvio típico dos subwoofer downfire, confirmam isto?

O ajuste de fase dos REL funciona da seguinte forma:

Position 1 - The sub is in phase and using the internal filter
Position 2 - The sub is in phase but bypassing the internal filter when using the low level input. (this is useful when using the sub for home cinema)
Positions 3 and 4 - Same as 1 and 2 but 180 degrees out of phase.

Isso mesmo já me tinha sido confirmado ontem à noite por um Quakista

O MJ tem um ajuste continuo de 0º a 180º...

Acho que o Quake se torna mais versátil pois permite o funcionamento simultâneo por Hi e Low level sem mexer em nenhum botão. O display com a freq de Xover até dá jeito.

Eu ouvi o MJ Ref 100 em casa este fds e gostei.
Já ouvi o REL Quake noutros sistemas e noutras casas e gostei... qual é o melhor francamente não posso dizer...
Mas há qui quem tenha comparado os dois.

Ou seja, entre esses dois não pode haver má escolha...

...mas ainda tenho que me decidir por um dos dois: o Rel (663€ na maquimsom - versão Cherry) ou o MJ d(720€ na gigaudio - versão Cherry). Isto é que é uma indecisão

Em última análise compro o mais barato

Tenho visto o Rel por aí mas o MJ só o encontrei numa loja (que não tinha Rel).

Yes you can connect both the high & low level inputs simultaneously. This question is asked by many music lovers who have the high level cable connection for music and want the added benefit from their sub with movies through the low level connection and movie buffs who respectively wish to use their sub for music. With respect to movies, connecting both the high & low level inputs simultaneously, starts to benefit when there is little or no LFE signal being sent to the sub from a dedicated sub out on an AV amp. Having the high level cable connected from the main or centre (recommended) speaker outs on an amp or wired off the back of the speakers, adds a full range signal into the high level input of your sub. Cleverly blended together using the independent volume controls, both the high and low level signals can give you the ultimate in depth reproduction throughout the entire movie, as well as exploding, thumping LFE (low frequency effects) bundled into one subwoofer for the ultimate listening pleasure.

What is the "Phase" control for?
The "Phase" control is used to make sure your sub is responding in the same manner as your main speakers. The Pro 50, Pro 100 and Reference I subs are all downward firing and should have their "phase" control set to 12 o'clock (90°), as this is the subs natural angle compared to your main speakers that are facing towards you. The Pro 500 and Pro 1650 subs are forward firing and should have their "phase" control set to either 7 o'clock (0°) when the sub faces the same way as your main speakers or 5 o'clock (180°) when the sub faces in the opposite direction to your main speakers. Most people never experience phasing problems, but going through the above procedure will eliminate any phasing problems should they occur.
