World War Z is an upcoming post-apocalyptic horror film based on the novel of the same name by Max Brooks. The film is directed by Marc Forster and stars Brad Pitt, with a script written by J. Michael Straczynski and Matthew Michael Carnahan. World War Z follows U.N. worker Gerry Lane, as he searches the globe for information that can stop the zombie outbreak that is bringing down nations. The film is scheduled to be released on June 21, 2013.

O livro é muito bom, se bem que da forma que está estruturado não penso que sirva para material filmável, isto porque passa-se 10 anos após a Guerra Zombie e é um conjunto de testemunhos de vários sobreviventes, quem gosta de histórias que metam zombies então este livro é um must, é o melhor dentro do género.

Um bocado de CGI e aceleração a mais para o meu gosto... aqueles molhos de pessoas a cairem de modo recorrente não me pareceram lá muito bem feitas, por exemplo.
é verdade que não tem relação nenhuma com o livro, mas pode vir a ser um filme de zombies interessante. ai vai depender de quem gostar de ver zombies feitos em CGI.
lud81 se já leste o livro sabes que ele é composto por várias estórias e não há um personagem que se pode dizer que é o principal. Tens mesmo esperança que irás ver no filme muita coisa do livro? Aposto que a única história do livro que vão aproveitar é a tentativa falhada do exército tentar parar os zombies na cidade (pois tem mais ação).
Pelo que eu li, o livro é uma colecção de relatos de certos personagens, tipo entrevistas.
E também pelo que eu li, o filme faz precisamente isso com o personagem do Brad Pitt, ele vai entrevistando pessoas sobre o apocalipse zombie. Só que o trailer não mostra isso.
