Treme is an American television drama series created by David Simon and Eric Overmyer. Tremé is a neighborhood in the city of New Orleans. The series begins three months after Hurricane Katrina where the residents of New Orleans, including musicians, chefs, Mardi Gras Indians, and ordinary New Orleanians try to rebuild their lives, their homes and their unique culture in the aftermath of the 2005 hurricane

Vi o primeiro episódio desta série quando estreou, este fim-de-semana peguei outra vez na série e tenho gostado do que já vi. A série passa-se em Nova Orleans semanas após o furacão Katrina ter destruído a cidade. A história gira em torno de um grupo de personagens, algumas reais outras fictícias e que estão ligadas ao Jazz e à cena musical da cidade. O criador da série é David Simon, autor de Homicide: Life on the Streets e The Wire, e tal como nesta última série em Treme a cidade é uma personagem da série, sendo o fio condutor de uma história que para já parece não ter rumo definido. Mais alguém está a seguir esta série?

Tenho seguido todas as semanas desde o início e dou comigo a perguntar constantemente para onde é que a série nos vai levar. Parece, de facto, faltar um rumo definido. Se calhar é mesmo assim, ou não fosse a história a vida de várias personagens e de uma cidade após o Katrina. Espantosa é a representação dos actores. Sem nenhuma crítica a apontar. E interessante mais uma vez a escolha de David Simon por actores que vimos em The Wire e The Corner, agora em registos muito diferentes.
Esqueci-me de referir que a representação de toda cultura musical crioula de Nova Orleans está muito bem feita, não conhecia as tribos de Indians que saiam à rua durante os cortejos e no Mardi Gras, é toda uma cultura que têm muito pouco a ver com o resto dos Estados Unidos.

Começo a ver quando acabar a primeira temporada. Ver isto de forma tão partida para mim é um contra-senso. Espero ansiosamente também pela Boardwalk Empire.
