M:i:III to Hit DVD, Blu-ray Disc & HD DVD

According to the USA Today, Paramount's Mission: Impossible III will become the first movie released simultaneously on DVD and both next-generation, high-definition disc formats.

Due October 30 as a special collector's edition DVD ($25), Blu-ray Disc ($30) and HD DVD ($30), each two-disc set includes four behind-the-scenes featurettes and deleted scenes.

The HD DVD also features "enhanced commentary" by Tom Cruise and director J.J. Abrams, who says he's "thrilled" with the HD releases because "people will get a chance to see M:i:III with the best possible picture and audio."

Também será lançada a boxset da trilogia em todos os formatos:

Paramount Home Video will release "Mission: Impossible III" on DVD, HD-DVD & Blu-ray this October 30th. The "Mission: Impossible Trilogy Boxset" will be released on the same day on all three formats. For now, the HD versions of Mission: Impossible I & II will only be available through the boxsets and at this time, this is all that is known about those releases.

O que mostra que a masterização foi feita a pensar no HD-DVD. *

* - O protocolo HD-DVD exige que todos os leitores tenham capacidades PiP (picture in Picture), como as TV's onde se pode por no PiP o que está a dar noutro canal num canto do ecrã.
O Blu-Ray não contempla essa obrigatoriedade, mas conta-se que a maioria dos fabricantes instale essa capacidade.

Olá, sou o Matias e sou novato nestas coisas,por isso desculpem a minha ignorância, onde se podem comprar discos, tanto HD-DVD como Blue-ray? Mas com legendagem para "Portugas"

Olá Matias.
Ainda só existe 1 leitor de HD-DVD (Toshiba) e 1 de Blu-Ray (Samsung), e ambos apenas existem nos Estados Unidos e não há para as encomendas.
Assim sendo apenas existem filmes editados nos Estados Unidos.
Filmes com legendas em Português eventualmente aparecerão quando os formatos forem lançados na Europa, algures para 2007.
