Thirst (2009) - Chan-wook Park

Post by Shivers » Tue Oct 14, 2008 2:32 pm

Old Boy helmer Park Chan-Wook reportedly wrapped his vampire film Thirst. The director will now enter post-production for a 2009 release.

Song Kang-ho (The Host) plays a much-loved priest who becomes a vampire after a failed medical experiment and, today, a new photo of the actor made its debut online (see below).

In September, Universal Pictures and Focus Features agreed to co-finance and co-produce the film with CJ Entertainment.
Thirst (a.k.a. Bakjwi or Evil Live) is an upcoming 2009 horror/drama film, written and directed by Park Chan-wook. It tells the story of a priest who is in love with his friend’s wife and who, after a failed medical experiment, is turned into a vampire. Park has stated, “this film was originally called The Bat to convey a sense of horror - after all, it is about vampires. But it is also more than that. It is about passion and a love triangle. I feel that it is unique because it is not just a thriller, and not merely a horror film, but an illicit love story as well.”

Novo trailer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EgiFGJ7WJik

Estreia assim na mesma semana de Twilight e Where the Wild Things Are.

Recomendo
