Vejam só o teaser e o trailer, que saiu este sábado, desta nova comédia, baseada neste personagem criada por Sacha Baron Cohen (ALI G).
Alias esqueçam o filme do ALIG, uma comédia a pensar nos teens, pois o Borat é muito mais “forte”, adulto e parece ser das melhores comédias a sair no cinema nos últimos tempos, uma comédia ao estilo do Office, mas mais chocante.

É fabuloso, nunca me ri tanto a ver e rever um trailer. Vamos agora esperar que o resultado final não seja o que só vimos no trailer e haja muito mais.

Não tenho vergonha nenhuma que Ali G Indahouse é um dos meus filmes cómicos preferidos. Acho que é aquele que mais me faz rir...que é na verdade o seu objectivo!!

Para quem já viu o trailer, e se não viram , relativamente a cena do rodeo, acho que deveria haver duvidas se aquilo seria montado ou não.

Salem is in the movies, but not in the way it might like.

Ever since a mysterious man claiming to be an immigrant from Kazakhstan nearly provoked a riot at the Salem rodeo with his butchered version of the national anthem, there's been speculation that the scene was a set-up.

Confirmation came this week, when trailers for the movie "Borat" began to show in Roanoke Valley theaters.

Wearing a black cowboy hat and an American flag shirt, British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen is shown taking the microphone and addressing the crowd that came to see a rodeo at the Salem Civic Center in January 2005.

"Can I say I support your war of terror?" Cohen says to enthusiastic cheers from an audience that has yet to catch on.

But as Cohen launches into his own twisted version of "The Star Spangled Banner," cameras that pan an audience bedecked in flannel shirts and Confederate flag caps capture expressions ranging from slightly quizzical to slack-jawed shock.

Then, a white horse that had been circling the arena with its rider waving a large American flag inexplicably falls to the ground, and the trailer moves on to other teaser material from the movie.

When the promotion was shown Friday afternoon at a Valley View Grande theater, a murmur ran through the crowd and some people who apparently recognized the scene clapped in approval.

But not many people were laughing at the Salem Civic Center in January 2005, when Cohen duped the promoter of the rodeo by saying he was an immigrant touring the country who just wanted to show his appreciation by singing the national anthem.

The crowd was so infuriated by the performance that civic center officials, fearing a disturbance, directed Cohen and his film crew to pack up and leave.

Now, it appears the reaction was just what the movie "Borat" was seeking.

Named after one of the characters in Cohen's HBO comedy, "Da Ali G Show," "Borat" features an unassuming journalist from Kazakhstan who is sent to America to make a movie.

Other scenes in the trailer show Cohen attempting to catch a chicken that has escaped from his suitcase in a crowded subway -- "Careful, he bites," he warns commuters -- and freshening up in a bathroom by splashing toilet water on his face.

The movie is scheduled for release in November.

Eu quando ouvi a primeira vez percebi "war on terror", só a 2º virada percebi bem.
Se calhar passou-me o mesmo com os gajos Mas houve lá uns que apanharam a primeira, bem nem todos os rednecks podem ser nabos.

O personagem é genial e tendo em conta o que ele fazia no show de TV acho que há muito potencial para os momentos altos do filme não se resumirem ao que está no trailer.
A questão é: quando é que isto chega cá?

Serei o único a achar esta personagem (Borat) e o comediante que lha dá vida (Sacha Baron Cohen) altamente sobrevalorizados ?

De certeza absoluta que não. Para tudo na vida à defensores e detratores, o que contribui para uma espantosa diversidade. Mas neste caso particular não concordo contigo.

Acho o Sacha Baron Cohen um comediante hilariante e extremamente mordaz. No entanto a minha personagem preferida é o Bruno, jornalista de mode, que goza com as cabeças ocas das passerelles de uma forma verdadeiramente brutal.

Ou melhor... dos 3 personagens que ele interpreta, Bruno, Borat e Ali G, o que acho menos piada é o Borat

Embora também admita que nunca tenha achado muita piada ao Borat, tenho de admitir que este trailer faz-me ver com outros olhos este personagem.
Eu acho o Sacha Baron Cohen o cómico que mais se assemelha ao Andy Kaufman no seu estilo de comédia.
